10 Things that Every Broke College Student Who Loves Spending Money Can Relate To

1.) Applying for useless credit cards that you'll never use after college.

but you need the new Urban Decay eyeshadow palette.

2.) Saving money for stuff you really want (clothes, makeup, books, etc.) instead of buying food.

Because the dining hall will be open tomorrow morning, right?

3.) Spending all your work study money by buying frappuccinos.

You really never know when they'll announce they next flavor, anyway.

4.) Buying that amazing bathing suit because it's half-off...in the middle of winter.

Sure, it's almost Christmas break, but you can't afford to let someone else get their hands on that bathing suit before you do!

5.) Buying stuff for your friends/family because you "spent too much" on yourself.

But buying things for other people doesn't count. That's just being a good person!

6.) Spending your money on literally anything but food.

Like, seriously. At least you can keep textbooks and they don't disappear.

7.) Spending your money on Chinese takeout/pizza almost every weekend in the winter.

Let's face it: it's not the best situation, but it's too cold to go out, and you're in withdrawal from not having bought anything since October. And at least you have leftovers for a few days.

8.) Buying knick-knacks for your apartment/dorm

Okay, so maybe you don't need four sets of salt and pepper shakers - but the fox ones are pretty fricking cute, you had to buy them.

9.) Literally buying something EVERY TIME you're at Target

You might just want to go there to hang out with friends, but who honestly walks out of Target without getting something? They have the $5 section for a reason.

10.) Despite everyone judging you for spending your money on useless things, you know that you're able to save money if you need to.

Because while all you really have to worry about is paying off each year of college, you know that everyday isn't a great day to spend money. And if college teaches you anything, it's definitely how to manage your finances when no one really tells you to not spend money.

So no matter how many dollars you spend on useless things, you can stop if you need to. After all, spending money is what most college kids do best, and it helps us relax and enjoy ourselves in high-stress times.

Now get to Target, there's some cute phone cases waiting for you!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
