No matter where you go, rather it is the beach or the mall, you’re going to see someone wearing makeup. The cosmetic industry makes tons of money. Seriously, have you ever looked at the prices of good cosmetics? Wow! The industry is huge. Women all over the world use it. Whether it is top of the line or drug store galore if there is anything that avid makeup users get tired of hearing it’s, “you wear too much makeup.” Truth is, no one that wears makeup gives a hoot if someone else thinks they're wearing too much of it. Why? I’ll tell you.
1. Unless it affects you, which it doesn't, your opinion is completely irrelevant.
In no way does the amount of makeup someone is wearing affect you. Rather someone cakes it on their face or wears the bare minimum, it still only alters them and their day. Just because someone doesn't do things the way that you would do them, doesn't make their way wrong. We were born to be different.
2. For most people who wear makeup, "putting their face on" is a hobby.
Some people play video games, some play sports. We are all interested in different things and if someone is interested in painting their face, that's their choice. There is absolutely no reason for you to tell a girl that she should stop doing something the way that she likes simply because you don't like it.
3. Dobby has no master, dobby is a free elf.
It's not junior high anymore. If a girl's father is no longer trying to control the amount of makeup that she puts on before leaving the house then she is free to decide that for herself.
4. "My lip gloss is cool my lip gloss is poppin."
The person with the pink, purple, or red lips is completely happy with their lips. Some people like to go outside their comfort zone by jumping out of planes and others like to wear blue lipstick. Either way, it's okay as long as they like it and it makes them happy.
5. As much as others would like to think otherwise, we do not wear makeup to impress the opposite sex.
My eyelids are gold because gold makes me feel fancy, not because I wake up every morning and think to myself, "Maybe he would like me if my eyelids were gold". To be honest, to don't need him to like me. Do you know why? Because I like me, and my gold eyelids.
6. The amount of makeup on a person's face does not define them.
First impressions are definitely important but the amount of makeup an individual wears does not define who they are. Wearing makeup doesn't make you fake. It doesn't mean that you think that you are better than everyone else. If we don't judge books by their cover, we shouldn't judge people by theirs either.
7. The work we do to our face sometimes takes some serious skill and we like to flaunt that talent.
Not everyone is a makeup artist, but those that are really good at applying makeup like to flaunt that they are good. When going to the prom or homecoming, it's pretty awesome to be able to do your makeup yourself.
8. Sometimes people tell us, "I like your makeup" and that's a really good feeling.
Why would a girl do her makeup differently if she gets compliments on it? For every person that doesn't like how a girl does her makeup, there is another person that does. Having someone, especially another female, tell us that are makeup is done well, is one of the best feelings ever
9. We are happy.
Girls wear makeup that makes them feel good and feeling good is something that everyone deserves.
