Someone Just Out-Trumped The Donald

And his name is Gary Johnson.

Someone Just Out-Trumped The Donald
Gary Johnson 2016

Many Americans are currently facing the same dilemma when it comes to picking a president this November: they absolutely despise Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is doing everything she possibly can to make us second guess casting a ballot for her. At times it feels like this election has become a fight between two 10-year-old children with our primary presidential candidates engaging in things like personal insults, immature nicknames and twitter fights. Clinton does her best to stay at least somewhat respectable but Trump parades himself around being as unintelligent and offensive as he can to gain attention and somehow this has won him the Republican nomination for President.

Trump has infuriated America with his willingness to offend any single group of people if it can get him just a little more T.V. time. He also is making a name for himself throwing out personal insults to his challengers, Republicans and Democrats alike. Who can forget the interactions with Jeb Bush early in the primary debate season when it looked at times like Trump was going to make Bush cry by calling him "low-energy" and "boring".

Along with verbal insults Trump, for some reason, gives all of his challengers nicknames like "Crooked Hillary" and "Lyin' Ted Cruz" as if the majority of the voting public are 5-year-olds only interested in adjectives in front of names. At first I agreed with most of the candidates responses to these tactics which was generally not commenting or choosing to take the high road. But what did that get us? One Republican candidate left in the race...at that is Donald Trump.

So today is the day I say enough with the high road, enough with watching your words and enough with letting Donald Trump add to his already unfathomably large ego by everybody walking on eggshells anytime they're asked to comment on him.

I want someone to beat Trump at his own game of insults and trash-talk, regardless of whether or not they win the election. Obviously Hillary Clinton is too concerned with becoming President and completing the career grand-slam of politics so I'll leave it up to my new favorite person: Gary Johnson.

In a Libertarian debate in March, Johnson referenced the 2012 election and how the Libertarian nominee has a real chance if people just have the opportunity to hear what they have to say (i.e. allowing them on the debate stage with the two main parties). Then, beauty ensued as Johnson said this-“If Donald Trump’s the nominee and Hillary’s the nominee, if that isn’t an opportunity for the Libertarian Party, I don’t know what is...and Donald? I’ve climbed the Seven Summits, the highest mountain on each continent—Donald Trump’s a p**sy”.

Johnson is the Libertarian nominee for President and probably one of the biggest badasses I've come across in a while. He is a regular marathon runner, triathlon competitor, and mountain biker. The former New Mexico Governor has even climbed the 7 summits: the highest mountain on each continent. This is all in addition to being the CEO of Cannabis Sativa, Incorporated. Or, for those of us not familiar with those terms, Gary Johnson runs a pot company. And, enouragingly enough, Johnson is actually gaining traction in the national polls with the latest putting him at 10% against Trump and Clinton.

It was like heaven on Earth. God blessed us with someone to finally man up and call Donald Trump exactly what he is. Better yet? When asked to further on his comments Johnson responded with this. Enjoy:

So, as Trump will undoubtedly respond with some stupid tweet and give Johnson one of his childish nicknames, we can all rest easy knowing there's someone out there who is willing to "call it how it as" as Trump likes to say.

Donald Trump, you my friend are a p**sy. The ball's in your court.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
